TAILGATE INFORMATION
Colorado Parents' Club members, it is time for Falcon Football which means it is also time for the best tailgates at Falcon Stadium! You, your guests, and your cadets are all welcome to come out to our tailgates for the 2021 Football Season.
Schedule:
The CPC tailgate site is the only non-cadet site within the cadet tailgate area. Use your CPC name tag to gain entry through one of the access gates to the cadet area, or have your cadet escort you through one of the gates. With Covid-19 protocols constantly changing, please verify the latest restrictions with your cadet on game day. Currently, the USAFA Parents' Weekend website states that parents are not authorized to attend squadron tailgates. This may change, but if not, please respect those guidelines and refrain from wandering to the cadet sites. We'd hate to jeopardize the privilege of tailgating in this special area for future games. Your cadet is welcome to join us at our site if permitted by their squadron leadership! See the picture below for the location.
As a friendly reminder, the cadet tailgate area is a no-alcohol area. We are fortunate our tailgate is included in the cadet cordon zone and do not want to forfeit our coveted spot for failing to comply with this policy! Thanks for your understanding and support!
We typically serve between 300-400 people during these events, and we need your help in order for these tailgates to be successful. We need your donated food items and, if possible, we need just a little of your time. The CPC will provide the main dish (typically burgers and hot dogs) and water. All we ask is that you please sign up to bring side dishes, desserts and other drinks.
We also have areas for you to give a little of your time to help out as team leads with set-up, cooking, food preparation, hospitality and clean-up. Whether you sign up to help at each tailgate or just one, your help is very much appreciated. Please reach out to our tailgate chair, Steve Clancy, to see how we can best use your talents.
These tailgates are a great way to meet other CPC members, hear about other CPC events that will take place throughout the year, spend a little extra time with your cadet(s), and meet some of the special guests we have invited to attend.
Schedule:
- Saturday, September 4th, Tailgate, 9:15 AM to 11:15 AM, game kickoff is at Noon - RSVP and Tailgate Sign Up
