News & Announcements
News From CPCOur two main events occurred in June, New Appointee Event at Top Golf and our In-Processing Day Picnic, and we are so thankful for all volunteers that helped make these events successful! It was so great to meet many of you at these two events.
The 2024-2025 academic year will be here before we know it! We hope that all of you were able to spend some time with your cadets this summer! However, I know the time seems never ending for our 2028 families. Soon you may see your cadet at Acceptance Day on 7 August 2024. We wish them well in the last couple of weeks of Basic Cadet Training! With the start of the academic year, football tailgate season is just around the corner! Whether you are attending the football game or not, CPC tailgates are a lot of fun for the entire family and a great way to get to meet and know your fellow CPC members. Our tailgates are in the cadet tailgate area, and your CPC nametag will give you access to this cordoned off area. The best part is seeing your cadet each home game, sharing a meal with them and meeting fellow squadron friends. We do need a lot of volunteers to pull off our tailgates each week. Sign-ups will come out for each home game. CPC provides the grilled main courses (hamburgers, hot dogs & brats & always some fun surprises like ribs & drumsticks) and water. We ask that you please bring something to share and sign up for a spot to help us run the tailgate. We always need help with set-up and tear down if you could come just a little bit early. We have adjusted the ending time of our tailgate to accommodate for clean-up so you should not miss any part of the game if you can stay to help clean-up. Also, please consider getting involved on the tailgate committee. We look forward to meeting you soon and hope to see you at the tailgates! Check the rest of the newsletter for more details. We cannot run our club without you as a volunteer. Please see the Volunteering Page that will provide descriptions of each open position. We hope you enjoy the final weeks of summer!Danny & Kathy Cometto USAFA CPC Co-Presidents USAFA Parent Liaison Information |
