Who are We?

We are a support group for you and your cadet!

  • Parents Clubs all over the country have been formed to support the cadets and their families. The Colorado Parents Club is unique in the fact that we are located so close to the Academy. For this reason, we often provide support to our out-of-state families as well.
  • Our events begin in late May, or early June with a reception for Colorado’s new appointees.  Upper class cadets are present to share their experience and provide some insight into Academy life.  Upperclassmen’s parents attend as well,  to answer questions and ease some of the apprehension that new parents may be feeling before their children inprocess and enter Basic Cadet Training.
  • We host an Inprocessing Picnic for families and friends that accompany the appointees. We usually feed about 600 people. This is a great opportunity for parents all over the country to share the experience.
  • Our club takes orders for goodie bags three times a year. We come together, as a club, to shop, assemble, and deliver about 800 goodie bags. We take orders nationwide.
  • We host tailgates for all of the home football games. Our tailgate area is open to all cadets.
  • In late April we host a dinner to honor our Club’s graduating seniors.
  • We support the Rando Fund, a fund administered by the USAFA Chaplains, to provide financial travel support to cadets who need to go home for an emergency, or in the worst case, attend a funeral of a fellow cadet.
