In-processing Picnic
The Colorado Parents Club will host a picnic at the Famcamp picnic area #2(check for our banner). All families of incoming Colorado cadets are encouraged to attend this social gathering. Current and past members will be present, along with Liaison Officers, to welcome these parents and family members whose cadets are In-Processing.

Field Day
The BCT summer squadrons will compete against each other in various athletic activities.
The basic cadets as well as the cadre, will compete. The events will start early, about 7:30AM. They usually finish by noon.
The events will be held on the fields north of the Cadet Field House.
Spectators are welcome to view from the stands,
but any communication with the basic cadets is strongly discouraged.

Doolie Day Out
Basic Cadets are granted their first day away from the Academy since Inprocessing.
They will spend the day with their assigned sponsor family.
The Doolies will eat, rest, and perhaps make some phone calls to family and friends.
There are no CPC activities on this much needed day of rest

March out to Jack's Valley
The Basic Cadets marche out to Jack's Valley for 10 days of rigorous training.
This is a "must see" event for parents of Basic Cadets.
The route entails secured and non-secured sections from which the public can view the march.
The route will pass by the B-52 memorial. The march will begin at 6:45 am.
The march will be canceled in the event of rain.

March out of Jack's Valley
The Basic Cadets will march OUT of Jack's Valley. The march is scheduled from 1:00 - 3:00pm.
The best viewing locations will be at the B52 and then at the Chapel Wall.

Acceptance Day Parade
Having completed both phases of Basic Cadet Training (BCT 1 & 2), the Basic Cadets take their final steps to becoming
members of the Cadet Wing and prepare for the upcoming academic semester.
Basic training ends with the Acceptance Parade, where cadets each swear to abide by the Honor Code,
receive their first military rank as Cadet 4th Class (C4C), and are formally accepted into the Cadet Wing.
The parade will begin at 9:00 am.
In the past,The Academy has permitted the cadets a short visit (an hour or so!) with their families and
friends immediately following the Acceptance Parade.

Tailgate Tables Move
Ten to twenty Colorado Parents Club members are needed to set up the picnic tables at our tailgate site.
An adequate number of volunteers keeps this a fun and easy event, so please mark your calendars and volunteer.
New members will get to see Jack's Valley and become acquainted with the location of our tailgate
area without the traffic and congestion of game day.

Parents Weekend
The CPC Parents Club will hold it's first tailgate of the season on Saturday, Sept. 5th at 10:00 am.
AF will play Nicholls State at 12:00 pm.
We have reserved tailgate area #1, located in parking lot 4,
the northeast corner of Falcon stadium.

Halloween Goodie Drop
Parents Club members gather orders and assemble a bag of goodies for all USAFA Colorado Parents Club member's cadets.
Other parents and/or Parent Clubs may purchase these for their cadets.
Goodie bags are delivered to the cadet dorms on Sunday before Halloween.

Giant Tailgate Picnic
During the entire AFA football season we have reserved tailgate area #1, located in parking lot 4,
the northeast corner of Falcon stadium. There are 15+ picnic tables for use by any CPC member.
Hosted at the CPC tailgate area, the Giant Tailgate Picnic provides food, drinks, deserts, and camaraderie to Colorado CPC members,
cadets, families, and friends. This years Giant Tailgate Picnic is now scheduled for November 7th, prior to the Army football game.

All Service Academy Ball
Formal dinner dance for Colorado cadets who attend any of the five United States Service Academies. This formal affair is also intended for dates, family and friends of the cadets.
